Deborah Pratt

Deborah M. Pratt is a multifaceted American artist known for her roles as a director, writer, producer, singer, dancer, and actress. She earned her degree in Psychology and Theatre from Webster University, which set the stage for her successful career in entertainment. After winning a national talent search, Pratt moved to Hollywood under a contract with NBC, where she began writing songs and contributing to various music albums while simultaneously embarking on her acting journey.

Pratt gained recognition for her significant contributions to television, most notably as co-creator, executive producer, and head writer of the beloved NBC series "Quantum Leap." Over her tenure, she wrote 25 episodes and co-authored another 15, cementing her legacy in television history. Additionally, she served as executive producer and head writer for CBS's "Tequila and Bonetti" and co-created and executive produced "The Net" for the USA Network. Her versatility as a writer is showcased through numerous contributions to various television series, as well as feature sales to major studios like Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox Animation.

A distinguished graduate of the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women, Pratt made her directorial debut with "Cora Unashamed," a project for BBC, PBS, and Masterpiece Theatre's The American Collection. Her work continues to inspire and influence aspiring artists across the industry.
