Gilbert R. Hill

Gilbert R. Hill (November 6, 1931 - February 29, 2016) was a multifaceted American figure, recognized for his contributions as a politician, law enforcement officer, and actor. Hill made his mark in public service as the President of the Detroit City Council, where he dedicated himself to community improvement and governance.

In addition to his political achievements, Hill gained fame in the entertainment industry for his memorable portrayal of Inspector Todd in the popular "Beverly Hills Cop" film series. He featured prominently in all three installments—"Beverly Hills Cop" (1984), "Beverly Hills Cop II" (1987), and "Beverly Hills Cop III" (1994)—where his character served as the authoritative figure guiding the protagonist, Axel Foley, played by Eddie Murphy.
