Raised in a family with a military background and an educational focus—her mother was an elementary school teacher and later a public school inspector—Han exhibited athletic talent in sports, particularly track and field.

After moving to Seoul in her sophomore year and completing her studies at Bulgok High School, she pursued a degree in theatre at Dongguk University. She continued to expand her repertoire with the historical drama “Dong Yi” in 2010, further solidifying her status as one of Korea's leading actresses.
