Vijay Raghavendra is a renowned Indian film actor primarily known for his work in Kannada cinema. Affectionately dubbed "Chinnari Mutha," he hails from a prestigious film family, being the son of producer S. A. Chinne Gowda and the nephew of celebrated actor Rajkumar.

Vijay's journey in the film industry began as a child artist with the 1982 film *Chalisuva Modagalu*. His early performances garnered significant acclaim, particularly in *Chinnari Mutha* (1993) and *Kotreshi Kanasu* (1994), the latter earning him the prestigious National Film Award for Best Child Artist. He transitioned to adult roles with his lead performance in *Ninagagi* (2002), a project produced by Ramoji Rao that became one of the highest-grossing films of that year. Although his subsequent films faced commercial challenges, he made a notable comeback with a captivating role in T. S. Nagabharana's historical drama *Kallarali Hoovagi* (2006) and debuted as a producer with *Sevanthi Sevanthi* in the same year.

Vijay's portrayal of Puttaraj Gawai in the biopic *Shivayogi Sri Puttayyajja* (2016) earned him the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor, marking a significant milestone in his career. Additionally, in 2013, he gained widespread popularity by winning the inaugural season of the reality show *Bigg Boss Kannada*, determined by public votes, further solidifying his status in the entertainment industry.
