1 title Acting Aug 06, 1985 Tallinn, USSR (Estonia)

Andrey Batt, born Andrey Sergeevich Batychko on August 6, 1985, in Tallinn, USSR, is a multifaceted Russian talent known for his work as an actor, director, musician, and producer. His journey into the arts began at the tender age of nine, when he took to the stage at a local elementary school theater in Moscow. While still in school, he explored filmmaking, culminating in the production and direction of his debut film, “Remix Tape,” at just seventeen. This unique basketball-themed music film showcased his remarkable knack for managing all aspects of production, from filming and editing to music composition. With limited resources, Batt successfully distributed the film through grassroots efforts, burning CDs and DVDs for basketball enthusiasts, which garnered a loyal following and led to a sequel in 2004.

In the early 2000s, Batt ventured into music as a self-taught hip-hop producer. His collaborations with African artists gained him airplay on mainstream radio stations, marking his rising global presence by age nineteen. In 2010, he relocated to Los Angeles to further hone his acting and filmmaking skills. He quickly landed roles in popular TV series such as "Justified," "The Walking Dead," and "The Killing," while simultaneously enjoying success in music, with hits charting in Europe and Asia by 2015. Notably, he performed during the Halftime Show at the EuroLeague in 2016. More recently, in 2023, he lent his voice to the lead character in the Canadian animated feature "The Butterfly Tale."
