Akio Nojima

Akio Nojima (野島 昭生, Nojima Akio), born on April 6, 1945, is a distinguished Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator hailing from Nishitōkyō, Tokyo. He has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry, and his family continues this legacy; his sons, Hirofumi and Kenji Nojima, are both accomplished voice actors, while his other son, Satoshi, has pursued a career as a nature writer. Notably, his grandson, Toya Nojima, is an emerging actor, adding to the family's artistic lineage. Akio is affiliated with Sigma Seven, a prominent talent agency.

Originally born in Fushun, Manchuria, during a tumultuous time, Akio faced personal challenges early in life, including the loss of his father, who was drafted into the army and tragically killed in action shortly after his birth, just before the conclusion of World War II. Following the war, Akio's mother and older sister returned to Japan, where they settled in an apartment in Suginami Ward, Nishitōkyō, Tokyo.
