Gandhi Alimasi Djuna, widely known as Gims, was born on May 6, 1986, in Kinshasa, Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A multifaceted talent, he is recognized as a singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer, and has made significant contributions to the music industry in both France and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Gims gained prominence as a member of the hip hop collective Sexion d'Assaut before embarking on a successful solo career.
