Deborah Reed

Deborah Reed, born Deborah Claire Hansen on October 29, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, was a multifaceted talent recognized for her roles as an actress, model, author, and educator. She gained cult fame for her portrayal of Creedence Leonore Gielgud in the 1990 fantasy horror film Troll 2, which has since become a beloved classic in the genre.

Reed's artistic journey began in high school, where she explored her passion for drama, appearing in the unfinished film Educated Heart alongside Anthony Geary and Anne Archer. After relocating to Spokane, Washington, in 1970, she immersed herself in musical theater, taking on roles as both a performer and director. In 1980, she signed with the McCarty Agency and transitioned into print modeling and makeup artistry while honing her acting skills in various commercials. Over a span of 15 years, she also dedicated her time to teaching aspiring young entertainers.

In 1989, Reed's career took a pivotal turn when she joined the cast of Troll 2, solidifying her status in cinematic history. From 1997 to 2000, she held the position of Executive Assistant to U.S. Congressman Merrill Cook, leading significant projects for Utah’s Native American communities and co-hosting a radio show.

In the mid-2000s, she married radio host Randy Holman, and together they established On Fire Productions, producing the series It's All About Homes. Following Holman's passing in 2012, Reed found new purpose as a children's book author and a passionate advocate for shelter animals and environmental sustainability through her blog, Deba Do Tell, and her Facebook initiative, Go Green with the Troll 2 Queen. After being diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in 2017, which progressed to Richter's Syndrome, Reed passed away on November 18, 2023. She was the proud mother of artist/animator Gavin Reed and software engineer Rem
