Lauren Williams
Lauren Ann Williams, a prominent Canadian professional wrestler, is widely recognized for her impactful tenure with Impact Wrestling (TNA) under the ring persona Angelina Love. During her illustrious career, she achieved the remarkable feat of holding the TNA Knockouts Championship six times, a record that remains unmatched in the promotion's history. In addition, Love captured the Knockouts Tag Team Championship once alongside her partner Winter. Outside of TNA, Williams competes under the name Angel Williams.
Beginning her wrestling journey in 2000, Williams honed her skills in various independent circuits throughout Canada, inspired by her all-time favorite wrestler, Shawn Michaels. Initially serving as a valet for notable wrestlers like Chris Sabin and Eric Young, she soon transitioned into an active wrestling role, training under Rob Fuego. Her first stint in TNA came in 2004, where she made an appearance on TNA Xplosion.
In 2004, her talents caught the eye of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), leading to an invitation for a tryout. After training at Ohio Valley Wrestling and competing in Deep South Wrestling, Williams enjoyed her first victory by defeating Michelle McCool in 2005. Despite facing setbacks, including a knee injury and subsequent surgery, Williams persevered and returned to the ring. By 2007, she transitioned to Ohio Valley Wrestling, marking a new chapter in her career before being released from her developmental contract shortly thereafter.
