Susana Zabaleta Ramos is a celebrated Mexican singer and actress renowned for her dynamic performances and vocal prowess. Born in Monclova, Coahuila, she relocated to Mexico City in 1985, where she began to carve out her artistic path. Zabaleta made a significant impact with her early opera performances in the prestigious Sala Ollín Yoliztli, showcasing her talent in classics such as La Traviata and Dido and Aeneas, and collaborating with the ensemble "Quien es quien."

Her stage debut came in 1987 with the musicals El violinista en el tejado and Don Quijote de la Mancha, followed by performances in ¡Que plantón! and Sor-Presas in 1989. Zabaleta gained further recognition in 1991 when she starred in the Mexican adaptation of Cats alongside María del Sol. In 1995, she released her first album, ¿O fué un sueño?, and in 1996, she recorded the Spanish version of Disney's Pocahontas, featuring the iconic song "Los Colores en el viento."

Transitioning to acting, Zabaleta appeared in telenovelas starting in 1993, and her film debut came in 1996 with Sobrenatural, directed by her husband, Daniel Gruener. Her performance in the 1998 film Sexo, pudor y lágrimas earned her the Silver Ariel Award for Best Actress. In collaboration with acclaimed composer Armando Manzanero, she produced two albums: de la A a la Z (2006) and Amarrados (2009). In 2011, Zabaleta expanded her repertoire by hosting her own television show, Susana Adicción, on Unicable.
