Vladislav Abashin

Vladislav Abashin was born in 1979 in Ryazan, Russia. Initially trained as a locksmith, he pursued an artistic path as a musician in the rock band "Sabateus Charabede" while juggling various jobs. His life took a dramatic turn in 1997 when a severe car accident resulted in significant head injuries. During his recovery, Abashin rediscovered his passion for literature, particularly classical works, which ignited a newfound interest in the world of theatre.

In 1999, after a full recovery, he relocated to Moscow to study directing at The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts. This pivotal educational experience set the stage for his burgeoning career in the performing arts. After completing his studies, Abashin made a name for himself in television before transitioning to feature films.

His filmography includes notable performances in acclaimed works such as "In the Fog" (2012), directed by Sergey Loznitsa, and "Territory" (2015) and "Terra Nova" (2008), both helmed by Aleksandr Melnik. Abashin's contributions to cinema showcase his versatility and dedication to his craft, making him a respected figure in the Russian film industry. Through resilience and talent, he has carved out a significant place in the arts, demonstrating a profound commitment to storytelling and performance.
