Merve Dizdar
Merve Dizdar, born on June 25, 1986, in Izmir, Turkey, is a prominent Turkish actress recognized for her versatile performances across stage and screen. She graduated from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University’s School of Fine Arts with a degree in acting and further honed her craft by obtaining a master’s degree in acting from Kadir Has University.
Dizdar began her career on stage with Semaver Company and later joined Craft Theatre. Her film debut came in 2011 with "Bir Ses Böler Geceyi," featuring Cem Davran. She gained recognition in television with notable roles in series such as "Kavak Yelleri," "Genis Aile," and "Bes Kardes." Additionally, she presented programs for TRT Children, including "Arkadasim Bidi" and "23 Nisan Senlige Dogru."
Her performance in the play "Yutmak" earned her the Afife Jale Theatre Best Actress Award. Dizdar became a household name with her roles in successful series like "7 Yüz," "Vatanım Sensin," and "Mucize Doktor." In 2020, she starred alongside Uraz Kaygılaroğlu in the comedy film "Eltilerin Savaşı," which became the 22nd most-watched film in Turkey by April 2021. She also took part in a musical adaptation of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
In 2020, she joined the acclaimed series "Masumlar Apartmanı," winning the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actress. Recently, she appeared in Cem Yılmaz's comedy series "Ersan Kuneri," and in 2022, she starred in "Kay ve Ayi/Snow and Bear."
