Toheeb Gbolabo O. Jimoh, born on April 15, 1997, in Brixton, South London, is a talented English actor celebrated for his compelling performances across film and television. He gained significant recognition for his role as Sam Obisanya in the acclaimed Apple TV+ series *Ted Lasso* (2020–2023), earning a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award. Jimoh's other notable works include his portrayal of Anthony Walker in the BBC One biopic *Anthony* (2020), which explores the life of the victim of a tragic racist murder, and his role as Marcus in the Amazon Prime series *The Power* (2023).

Jimoh's early life saw him move to Nigeria as a child, returning to London at the age of seven. He completed his education at The Norwood School and pursued his passion for acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2018. His breakthrough came with *Anthony*, where his performance was described as "utterly magnetic." Jimoh also showcased his theatrical skills in productions like *A Midsummer Night's Dream* at the Sheffield Crucible and the Almeida Theatre's festive show, *Nine Lessons and Carols*, which marked a return to live performances post-pandemic.

In *Ted Lasso*, the character of Sam was originally conceived as Ghanaian but was adapted to reflect Jimoh's Nigerian heritage, further endearing him to audiences. He continues to captivate viewers, recently playing Tunde, a journalist, in *The Power* and taking on the role of Romeo in a 2023 production of *Romeo and Juliet* at the Almeida Theatre. In 2024, Jimoh will star as Hal in *Player Kings*, an adaptation of Shakespeare's *Henry IV*, alongside renowned actors Ian McKellen and Richard Coyle.
