Matilda Ziegler is a distinguished English actress celebrated for her compelling performances across various television series and films. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Donna Ludlow in the iconic BBC soap opera EastEnders from 1987 to 1989. Ziegler's character faced harrowing challenges, including prostitution, addiction, and ultimately, a tragic demise from a heroin overdose. Her powerful final scenes are regarded as some of the most impactful anti-drug portrayals in the show's history.
In the early 1990s, Ziegler showcased her comedic talents in the beloved ITV series Mr. Bean, where she took on multiple roles, most notably Irma Gobb, the long-suffering girlfriend of the title character.
