Doug Chapman

Douglas "Doug" Chapman is a versatile Canadian professional known for his extensive work as a stunt coordinator, stunt performer, actor, and director. A proud member of Stunts Canada, Chapman embarked on his career in both acting and stunts in 1996 with the film *Street Gun*.

Over the years, he has made a significant mark in the film and television industry, appearing in popular series such as *Smallville* (2001) and *Stargate: Atlantis* (2004), as well as major films like *Fantastic Four* (2005). His remarkable talent has seen him serve as a stunt double for notable actors including Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, and Christian Slater. Chapman has also showcased his stunt expertise in numerous commercials, providing precision driving for brands like Honda and Chrysler.

Among his impressive film credits are *Freddy vs. Jason* (2003), *X2: X-Men United* (2003), *300* (2006), and *Watchmen* (2009). In *Watchmen*, he made history by performing the first-ever bare-skin burn stunt in a feature film.

Chapman's prowess in stunts earned him a nomination for a Taurus World Stunt Award for Best Fire Stunt in 2004, recognizing his outstanding work in *Freddy vs. Jason*. Beyond performing, he has also contributed as a second unit director and stunt coordinator, further solidifying his influence in the entertainment industry.
