12 titles Acting Sep 20, 1982 Shanghai, China

Hu Ge, a prominent Chinese actor and singer, gained recognition in 2004 for his role as Li Xiaoyao in the television drama *Chinese Paladin*, which is an adaptation of the popular action RPG *The Legend of Sword and Fairy*. In addition to his acting, Hu showcased his musical talent by contributing two songs to the show's soundtrack, signaling the start of his music career.

Following his success in *Chinese Paladin*, Hu took on various television series, primarily within the wuxia genre. His filmography includes notable films such as *The Ghost Inside* and *The 601st Phone Call*. In late 2008, he appeared alongside Wu Chun and Charlene Choi in *The Butterfly Lovers*, a cinematic retelling of a classic Chinese tale. That same year, he portrayed Guo Jing in *The Legend of the Condor Heroes*, a project based on Louis Cha's renowned novel.

Hu frequently lent his voice to soundtracks of the dramas in which he starred. On October 31, 2006, he released an EP entitled *Treasure or Tell Her I Love Her*, featuring three tracks. He followed this with his first full-length album, *Start*, on May 15, 2008, which included ten songs.

Tragically, on August 29, 2006, Hu was involved in a severe car accident while en route from Hengdian to Shanghai, resulting in critical injuries that required surgery and a yearlong recovery. This incident disrupted the filming of *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* and affected promotional activities for his completed project, *The Young Warriors*. Hu captured his emotions related to the accident in his single “To Love” and produced a music video with his friend and co-star Cecilia Liu.
