James Intveld
James Intveld is a versatile rockabilly musician, actor, composer, and director based in Los Angeles. He gained notable recognition for providing the vocals for Johnny Depp's character, Cry Baby, in the cult classic film of the same name.
Intveld's musical journey began when he formed a rockabilly band called The Rockin' Shadows alongside his brother Ricky Intveld and Pat Woodward, performing at venues across Southern California. Tragically, both Ricky and Pat were killed in a plane crash while on tour with Ricky Nelson. Following this, James transitioned to a solo career, playing at iconic clubs like The Palomino in North Hollywood and touring extensively.
Among his songwriting achievements, Intveld penned "Cryin' Over You," which was recorded by the talented Rosie Flores. He also contributed his musical talents as a member of The Blasters and has appeared in various films and music videos, collaborating with artists such as Kathy Mattea and featuring in George Strait's "The Seashores of Old Mexico."
As a director, Intveld helmed the film *Miracle at Sage Creek*, which starred David Carradine, and co-starred alongside Billy Bob Thornton in *Chrystal*. Additionally, he directed a music video for country artist Dale Watson, further showcasing his multifaceted skills in the entertainment industry.
