Liina Tennosaar
Liina Tennosaar, born on May 23, 1965, in Tallinn, Estonia, is a distinguished actress recognized for her work in stage, film, and television. She hails from a creative family, with her father, Kalmer Tennosaar, known as "Uncle Kalmer," being a celebrated journalist and television personality, while her mother was a prominent actress. Liina has one full sibling and one half-sibling.
After completing her primary and secondary education in Tallinn in 1982, she pursued her passion for acting at the Tallinn State Conservatory (now the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre), graduating in 1986. Tennosaar made her television debut at 22, portraying Mari in the 1983 Soviet-Estonian comedy Püha Susanna ehk meistrite kool. She gained further recognition with roles in the 1986 drama Võtmeküsimus and the 1987 historical film Tants aurukatla ümber.
From 1997 to 1999, she captured audiences as Tiiu in the beloved ETV series Õnne 13. Her television credits also include popular series such as Urpo & Turpo, Ohtlik lend, and Merivälja, where she played Inga in 2017.
Tennosaar made her film debut in the 1990 drama Sügis, adapted from Oskar Luts' novel. Her filmography includes notable works like Sügisball (2007), Jan Uuspõld läheb Tartusse (2007), and Deemonid (2012). A versatile performer, she has contributed to various shorts and student films, solidifying her status as a key figure in Estonian performing arts.
