Ivan Jandl

Ivan Jandl (January 24, 1937 – November 21, 1987) was a notable Czech child actor whose poignant performance in the 1948 film *The Search* captured the hearts of audiences. Portraying a young Czech boy who had endured the horrors of Auschwitz while searching for his mother in postwar Germany, Jandl's role was particularly challenging as he had to learn his lines phonetically due to his lack of English proficiency.
