Becki Newton
Rebecca Sara "Becki" Newton, born on July 4, 1978, is a prominent American actress celebrated for her memorable performances, particularly as Amanda Tanen in the acclaimed series *Ugly Betty* and as Quinn in *How I Met Your Mother*.
Hailing from New Haven, Connecticut, and raised in Guilford, Becki is of English and Czech heritage. She discovered her passion for the performing arts early, engaging in musicals and plays at local theaters. Newton pursued higher education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.A. in European History and actively participated in the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
After her college years, she relocated to New York City, where she quickly secured roles in various television commercials, including campaigns for Olive Garden. From 2006 to 2010, Becki captivated audiences as Amanda Tanen on *Ugly Betty*, where she also co-hosted the Official *Ugly Betty* Podcast with Michael Urie. The series concluded after four successful seasons, wrapping up its storyline in a well-received finale.
In 2009, she showcased her musical talents in the Gershwin musical *Girl Crazy*, directed by Jerry Zaks, portraying the character Molly Gray alongside her husband, Chris Diamantopoulos.
