Torsten Voges, born in 1962 in Germany, is a prominent German actor recognized for his work in Hollywood films. He began his artistic journey with acting training in Germany before honing his craft at the esteemed American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Following his education, Voges returned to Germany, where he showcased his talent at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm and enjoyed a six-year tenure at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus.

In 1997, Voges made the leap to Hollywood, where he gained notoriety for his role as the German nihilist Franz in the cult classic "The Big Lebowski" (1998). Standing at an impressive height of 2.05 meters, he often found himself cast in unique and imposing roles, such as a Norwegian Satanist in "The Lords of Salem" (2012). His filmography also includes notable appearances in "8mm" (1999), "Rent a Man" (1999), and "Funny People" (2009). On television, he has guest-starred in popular series like "Seinfeld" and "Malcolm in the Middle," along with a recurring role in "Eastwick" (2009).
