Vivian Lai burst onto the Singapore television landscape with remarkable enthusiasm, emerging as the champion of both the Singapore Star Search '99 and the All-Asian Star Search '99. Her grace and eloquence quickly captivated audiences, establishing her as a promising talent.
Vivian's television journey began with her role as an interior designer in the dramedy Knotty Liaisons, where she showcased her charm and acting prowess. She then portrayed a self-absorbed magazine journalist in the sitcom Adam’s Company, sharing the screen with renowned Hong Kong personality David Wu.
A pivotal moment in Vivian's career arrived with her portrayal of Rachel in the contemporary drama Three & a Half Women. This character, an ambitious advertising executive who discovers the importance of family and friendship after a life-altering accident, marked a significant evolution in her acting journey. She continued to challenge herself with roles in productions such as Love Thy Neighbour, World At Your Feet, Super Senior, and The Queen. Her dedication to her craft earned her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Star Awards 2012 for her performance in Love Thy Neighbour.
In 2006, Vivian expanded her repertoire by hosting her first variety show, Property Classified, paving the way for numerous hosting gigs, including the popular Say It and Say It 2.
