He frequently collaborated with iconic Bollywood actors, particularly Rajesh Khanna, and was known for his compelling performances as both a villain and a character actor. His notable screen presence was highlighted in the classic film *Aradhana* (1969), where he is famously remembered for playing the mouth organ while driving a jeep, as Khanna serenaded Sharmila Tagore.
