Alisa Christensen

Alisa Christensen, born on February 22, 1966, in Duluth, Minnesota, is a talented actress and accomplished stuntwoman whose life took a dramatic turn following a tragic accident in 2002. During a camping excursion, her sleeping bag ignited, resulting in severe 3rd and 4th degree burns across 40% of her body. This harrowing experience led to numerous surgeries aimed at preserving her limbs and restoring her quality of life.

Drawing upon her resilience and the lessons learned throughout her recovery, Alisa penned a powerful memoir titled "Gimp, Surviving Your Survival," where she candidly shares her journey of healing and personal growth. In addition to her literary contributions, Alisa has been actively involved in supporting fellow burn survivors. As of December 2009, she held the position of president at Portland Burn Survivors, Inc., where she worked tirelessly to advocate for and uplift individuals affected by burn injuries.
