Elisabeth Joy
Elisabeth Joy is a multifaceted American talent, recognized for her work as a writer, director, producer, actress, and dancer, particularly noted for her roles in "Dovey's Promise" and "RATS!". Raised in the Midwest, Elisabeth’s journey took a significant turn when she served as a U.S. Army officer, piloting Chinook helicopters in Afghanistan and Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). She later transitioned to flying Black Hawk helicopters and took on the role of Alamo Dustoff Aero-medical Evacuation commander within the Texas Army National Guard.
After concluding her military career, Elisabeth pivoted to the performing arts, honing her craft under the guidance of Laurel Vouvray, emphasizing the Meisner technique. She is currently represented by Callidus Agency. Elisabeth earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radio Television Film and Emerging Media Production from Austin Community College, where she also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Health and Kinesiology Department. Here, she teaches the integration of mind, body, and spirit through disciplines such as Yoga and Fencing.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Elisabeth is deeply committed to community service as a producer with the Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel and the Austin Veteran Arts Festival, where she merges her dedication to veterans' causes with her creative talents.
