Julia Dyan-Porter

Julia Dyan-Porter hails from the quaint community of Meadowvale in Ontario, Canada. Currently residing in Toronto, she has carved out a dynamic career as an actor, stunt performer, and stage combat instructor, with a particular focus on Western Swordplay. Julia honed her craft at The Stella Adler School of Acting in New York City, where she developed a strong foundation in performance. She furthered her training in physical theatre through the program at Humber College in Toronto.

In addition to her work in front of the camera and on stage, Julia is a co-founder of Violence in Motion, a unique training facility dedicated to teaching film and stage combat techniques to aspiring performers. Her expertise in choreography and combat has made her a sought-after instructor and collaborator in the industry.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Julia shares her life with a Golden Retriever named Lt. Ripley, a tribute to the iconic character played by Sigourney Weaver in the "Alien" franchise. Julia Dyan-Porter's multifaceted career and dedication to the arts continue to inspire those around her, making her a prominent figure in the realm of performance and combat training.
