Sonny Landham

William Marion "Sonny" Landham (February 11, 1941 – August 17, 2017) was a multifaceted American actor, stunt performer, and politician known for his memorable roles in both film and television. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Billy Sole, the skilled tracker in the iconic 1987 sci-fi thriller, Predator.

Landham began his career in the adult film industry before transitioning into mainstream cinema, where he showcased his talent in several notable films. His credits include The Warriors, where he played a subway officer, as well as roles in 48 Hrs., Lock Up, and Action Jackson. His rugged on-screen presence and versatility made him a distinctive figure in Hollywood.

In addition to his acting career, Landham ventured into politics in 2003 when he sought the Republican nomination for Governor of Kentucky. His campaign was driven by his opposition to an amendment supporting the Kentucky Family Court, influenced by his own negative experiences.
