Dean Menta, born on July 23, 1966, is a talented American music editor and composer based in Los Angeles, California. His musical journey began in 1995 when he joined the band DUH, contributing to their second album, *The Unholy Handjob*. Menta's career took a significant turn when he became the guitarist for the iconic rock band Faith No More from 1995 to 1996. Initially introduced to the band as a keyboard technician after meeting them in 1991 at a San Francisco art gallery, he stepped into the guitarist role when Trey Spruance opted out of touring for *King for a Day... After his tenure with Faith No More, Menta collaborated with the pop group Sparks, contributing to several of their acclaimed albums, including *Plagiarism* (1997), *Lil' Beethoven* (2002), *Hello Young Lovers* (2006), *Exotic Creatures of the Deep* (2008), *The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman* (2009), and *Hippopotamus* (2017).
In recent years, Menta has shifted his focus to the television and film industry, where he works as a music editor, composer, and sound designer. He has also ventured into video game music, notably composing for *Jak X: Combat Racing* in collaboration with Billy Howerdel of A Perfect Circle.
