Nuri Bilge Ceylan, born on January 26, 1959, in Istanbul, is a prominent Turkish filmmaker, screenwriter, photographer, and actor renowned for his distinctive cinematic style. His film *Winter Sleep* (2014) garnered the prestigious Palme d'Or at the 67th Cannes Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in his career. Additionally, five of his films have been chosen as Turkey's entries for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, showcasing his influence on global cinema.
