Ric Carrott
Ric Carrott was an American actor whose career flourished in the 1970s. Known for his youthful charm and good looks, he gained recognition primarily for his role as Captain Chris Gentry on the Saturday morning children’s program *Space Academy*. Carrott's versatility enabled him to make memorable guest appearances on a wide array of popular television series during the decade, showcasing his talent in shows such as *Nanny and the Professor*, *The Partridge Family*, *Love American Style*, *Dirty Sally*, *The Bob Newhart Show*, and *The Odd Couple*. He also appeared in *The Blue Knight*, *The Streets of San Francisco*, *Lucas Tanner*, *S.W.A.T.*, *Cannon*, and later in iconic series like *The Rockford Files*, *Starsky and Hutch*, *Barnaby Jones*, *Fantasy Island*, and *Three's Company*.
One of Carrott's notable contributions to television was his role as Chuck Cunningham in the pilot episode of *Happy Days*, which was featured as a segment of *Love, American Style* titled "Love and the Happy Days," although the character was later portrayed by Gavan O'Herlihy in the series.
