Rachel Bolan

Rachel Bolan, originally named James Richard Southworth, was born on February 9, 1964. He is an accomplished American musician renowned for his role as the bassist and primary songwriter for the heavy metal band Skid Row.

Bolan's unique stage name is a blend of his brother Richard's name and his grandfather Manuel's name, with "Bolan" paying homage to the legendary T. Rex frontman, Marc Bolan, who greatly influenced him during his formative years. In 1990, he embraced his artistic identity by officially changing his name to Rachel Bolan Southworth.

Throughout his career, Bolan has made significant contributions to the music industry, particularly during the late 1980s and early 1990s when Skid Row achieved immense success.
