Frank Infante, born on November 15, 1951, is a renowned American guitarist and bassist, celebrated for his contributions to the iconic new wave band Blondie. Infante embarked on his musical journey in the early 1970s, performing with hard rock and blues bands such as The Elegant End and World War III. In 1975, he joined Sniper before becoming a session musician for Blondie in 1977, stepping in for bassist Gary Valentine.

Infante showcased his versatile talent on Blondie's second album, *Plastic Letters* (1978), where he played both bass and guitar, although he was not featured on the album cover. Later that year, he transitioned to a full-time guitar role after Nigel Harrison joined as the bassist. The band's subsequent albums, *Parallel Lines* (1978) and *Eat To The Beat* (1979), solidified their status in the U.S. market, with producer Mike Chapman praising Infante's exceptional guitar skills.

Following a legal dispute regarding royalties from the 1980 album *Autoamerican*, Infante remained with Blondie for the 1982 album *The Hunter*, despite claims of limited involvement. He co-wrote several tracks, including "Victor" and contributed to demos like "Underground Girl." After Blondie's breakup, he collaborated with artists such as Joan Jett and Iggy Pop.

In 2006, Blondie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where Infante's request to perform was famously denied. He later toured with The New York Dolls and continues to perform with his band, Infante's Inferno. Now residing in Los Angeles, Infante remains active in the music scene, furthering his legacy.
