Renée Soutendijk
Renée Soutendijk, born Renette Pauline Soutendijk on May 21, 1957, in The Hague, is a distinguished Dutch actress renowned for her dynamic performances in film and television. A former Olympic gymnast, she transitioned to acting, initially making her mark in Germany.
Soutendijk gained prominence as a leading actress in the works of celebrated director Paul Verhoeven, particularly for her memorable roles in cult classics like "Spetters" (1980) and "The Fourth Man" (1983). Her portrayal of strong, unconventional female characters showcased her versatility and charisma.
In addition to her acclaimed roles in Dutch cinema, Soutendijk made her foray into English-language films by playing Eva Braun in the television movie "Inside the Third Reich." She further expanded her repertoire with notable performances as Anna Mons in "Peter the Great" (1986) and as Mrs. Simon Wiesenthal in "Murderers Among Us" (1987).
