Kate Bracken

Kate Bracken is a talented Scottish actress widely recognized for her captivating portrayal of Alex Millar in the acclaimed series Being Human.

Hailing from a picturesque area near Fort William, specifically around the village of Spean Bridge, Bracken's early education took place at Kilmonivaig Primary School followed by Lochaber High School. She pursued her passion for acting at Telford College in Edinburgh, culminating in a degree from Motherwell College in 2011. Shortly after her graduation, she sought representation and relocated to London to advance her career.

Bracken made her television debut in 2011 with a role as Hazel in the detective series Inspector George Gently. Her big break came in 2012 when she joined the fourth season of Being Human as Alex Millar, a character that she would later reprise in the fifth season, taking over from Lenora Crichlow. Additionally, she showcased her versatility by appearing as Mia in an episode of New Tricks and later as Karen in the fifth season of the popular show Misfits, where she demonstrated her unique ability to portray characters with extraordinary powers.

In 2016, Bracken starred in the short film Hot Property directed by Max McGill, and she also played Grace in the BBC miniseries One of Us, further solidifying her reputation as a skilled and dynamic performer.
