Jean-Louis Livi
Jean-Louis Livi, born on January 29, 1941, is a prominent French film producer known for his significant contributions to cinema. He gained widespread recognition for his work on the film *The Father* (2020), which garnered him an Academy Award nomination alongside two BAFTA Film Award nominations for Best Film.
Livi hails from a notable family; he is the son of Giuliano/Julien Livi (1917–1994) and the elder sibling of the renowned Italian-French actor Yves Montand. His career in film production began to flourish when he took on leadership roles at various production companies. From 1990 to 2006, he served as the director for Film par film and SEDIF Productions, and since 2006, he has been at the helm of F comme film. Additionally, he oversees Solivagus Productions.
Beyond his work in film, Livi has made his mark in theater as a co-director of the Théâtre des Mathurins and the Théâtre Édouard VII in Paris, collaborating with fellow director Bernard Murat. His artistic contributions have been recognized in various capacities, including his election as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2021.
