Kenny Alfonso
Kenny Alfonso, born on the same day as legends Bruce Lee and Jimi Hendrix, transformed early childhood inspirations into a vibrant career in acting. Growing up in Tampa, Florida, he honed his skills on baseball diamonds, often shadowing his father and older brother while nurturing a secret dream of becoming a Kung Fu-rock star. After a brief foray into minor league baseball, Kenny pivoted to careers as a State Attorney’s Investigator and Pharmaceutical Representative before embracing his passion for acting full-time in 1994.
His film credits include significant roles in Barry Levinson's "The Bay," the Clint Eastwood-led "Trouble with the Curve," and the ensemble cast of "The Hot Flashes," which featured stars like Brooke Shields and Wanda Sykes. He also appeared in "The Change-Up" alongside Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman.
Kenny is well-known for his role as Attorney Joe Cummings on the Lifetime Network's hit series "Drop Dead Diva," returning for its fourth season this summer. His extensive television work also includes appearances on ABC Family's "Christmas Cupid," and USA Network's "Necessary Roughness," among others. He co-hosted the DIY Network’s "Barkitecture," a show focused on home improvement.
With over 80 commercials to his credit and performances in one-man shows across the country, he co-founded The Goods® Brand in 1997, an Atlanta-based company emphasizing self-belief and empowerment. Kenny lives in Atlanta with his daughter, Jessy, and longtime partner, actress Melissa Ponzio.
