Myrna Velasco, originally from the vibrant Los Angeles area, spent much of her formative years in Tijuana, Baja California, where she lived with her grandmother, and at her family's ranch in Acton, California. During her early teenage years, her family settled in the peaceful suburbs of Santa Clarita. It was here that Myrna discovered her passion for the performing arts, drawn to rock music and the allure of the stage. Although she explored dance for several years, she realized her true calling lay in acting, often reading plays aloud in her room to express her creativity.
Despite her deep-seated love for performance, Myrna initially pursued a writing degree in college due to self-doubt about her prospects in acting. However, by her final year, her heart was set on a career in acting, leading her to abandon her degree and chase her dreams in the flourishing film industry around her.
Myrna's career took off with notable commercial successes, including a prominent feature alongside Will.i.am in a Coca-Cola advertisement and numerous campaigns for well-known brands like McDonald's and Chevy, which celebrated her Mexican heritage. On the theatrical front, she has showcased her versatility across both film and television, taking on a variety of roles—from a tough, gun-wielding character to a charming bride, and from a quirky burger joint employee to a high school diva. Myrna Velasco continues to thrive in her dynamic career, leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
