Mozhdah Jamalzadah

Mozhdah Jamalzadah is a multi-talented Afghan-Canadian singer, actress, and television personality, born on December 7, 1985, in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her family relocated to Canada during her early years, where she pursued higher education at the University of British Columbia, studying Philosophy and Political Science, followed by a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).

Gaining prominence in the music industry, her hit single “Dokhtare Afghan” resonated widely, capturing the hearts of many and earning her national recognition. Her commitment to social issues led her to return to Afghanistan, where she hosted “The Mozhdah Show,” a talk program that tackled various pressing matters affecting society.

A highlight of her career was her performance at the White House in 2010 to commemorate International Women’s Day, an event that showcased her dedication to advocating for women's rights. In 2019, she published her autobiography, “Voice of Rebellion,” which chronicles her journey and experiences. Additionally, Mozhdah showcased her acting skills in the Canadian film “Red Snow,” further solidifying her status as a versatile artist.
