Darren Doane
Darren Doane, born in 1972 in Westlake Village, California, is a prominent filmmaker and music video director with a strong Christian influence in his work. In 2007, he co-founded LEVEL4, a production company specializing in commercial, music video, and branded content, alongside Executive Producer Josh Karchmer. Under his leadership, LEVEL4 has collaborated with an impressive roster of clients, including major brands like Toyota, Hurley/Nike, Saatchi & Saatchi, Atlantic Records, JBL, and Universal Records.
Before venturing into commercials and music videos, Doane made his mark with live-action adaptations of Malibu Comics superheroes. His notable projects include a brief promotional video for Hardcase, featuring British kickboxer Gary Daniels, and a 35-minute film titled Firearm, which served as a prequel to the comic series. The latter was uniquely packaged as a VHS alongside special editions of the comic's issue #0. Additionally, fans of the comics can spot a playful nod to Doane in Hardcase #1, where his name is humorously referenced as the director of "Hardcase: The Movie."
Darren Doane's diverse body of work reflects his creativity and passion within the film industry, earning him recognition for both his commercial success and contributions to the realm of superhero adaptations.
