Jared Hess

Jared Lawrence Hess, born on July 18, 1979, is a prominent American filmmaker celebrated for his unique contributions to cinema. He is best recognized for creating the cult classic Napoleon Dynamite (2004), as well as for his upcoming project, A Minecraft Movie (2025), and Nacho Libre (2006). The latter film was co-written and directed alongside his wife, Jerusha Hess, while Mike White also collaborated on the screenplay. In addition to his feature films, Hess has made notable contributions to the music video realm, producing the video for The Postal Service's third single, "We Will Become Silhouettes," and the Christmas single, "Boots," by The Killers.
