Aranya Namwong
Aranya Namwong, born Anchali Choppradit on March 21, 1946, is a celebrated Thai actress known for her significant contributions to the film industry. She gained initial recognition as the runner-up in the 1964 Miss Thailand pageant, which helped launch her acting career. Throughout the 1970s, Aranya became a prominent figure in Thai cinema, frequently appearing alongside renowned actor Sombat Metanee in various films.
Her talent transcended borders, as she garnered a following in Cambodia, particularly for her performance in "The Snake King's Wife Part 2," a prequel to the acclaimed Cambodian film featuring the illustrious Dy Saveth. Aranya further showcased her versatility in the Thai-Khmer film "Love Across Horizontal," where she starred opposite Khmer actor Chea Yutatorn.
