Jake Blauvelt, a prominent figure in snowboarding, hails from the picturesque landscapes of Vermont. He spent his formative years honing his skills at Bolton Valley and Stowe, where his technical prowess and impressive aerial maneuvers helped him secure podium finishes in slopestyle and halfpipe events throughout his teenage years. His career reached a significant milestone in 2004 when he clinched victory at the U.S. Open, one of the sport's most esteemed competitions, at just 17 years old.

Transitioning to the West Coast, Jake called Mammoth and Tahoe home before settling in Bellingham, Washington, near Mt. Baker, renowned for its deep powder. This environment inspired him to master powder riding and explore the creative possibilities of backcountry terrain. Over the next decade, he created acclaimed video segments with notable brands like Forum, Absinthe, and Snowboarder Magazine, culminating in the success of his independent film, "Naturally," which established him as one of the elite riders in the industry.

Eventually, Jake returned to Vermont, where he lives with his wife, Kristin, an organic chef and restaurant owner, and their young daughter, Nell. Jake leads a fulfilling life that includes growing his own food, practicing yoga, and engaging in carpentry. Together with Kristin, he co-founded the Mountain Light Project, a non-profit initiative that collaborates with the American Alpine Institute to provide free avalanche and backcountry education to youth.
