Ellen Parren

Ellen Parren, born in Heelsum in 1987, is a prominent Dutch actress recognized for her dynamic performances across various media. She earned her degree from the prestigious Toneelacademie Maastricht in 2009, marking the beginning of a successful artistic career.

From 2007, Parren began collaborating with Toneelgroep De Appel, showcasing her talent on stage. That same year, she made her film debut with a small part in the romantic comedy "Alles is Liefde," which helped establish her presence in the industry. Parren gained further recognition through her roles in popular television series, including "S1ngle," broadcast on NET 5, "Missie Aarde" on VPRO, and "Jeuk" aired on VARA.

In 2016, she took on the role of a reporter in the satirical show "Zondag with Lubach," which highlighted her versatility and ability to engage audiences with sharp humor. Parren is also a vital member of the innovative music theater ensemble Circus Treurdier, where she contributed to the creation of "TreurTeeVee," a project developed for VPRO's 3Lab.
