Freya Stafford hails from Hobart, Tasmania, where her passion for acting ignited at an early age, inspired by her older sister. At just eight, she made her theatrical debut in a local production of "Annie." Freya pursued her dreams and graduated from the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in 2000, at the age of 23. During her time at NIDA, she showcased her talent in a variety of stage productions, including notable performances in "Twelfth Night," "There's No Need to Wake Up," and "Three Sisters."
In 2001, Freya stepped into the television spotlight with her role as Basia Lem, a bisexual filmmaker, in the ABC series "Head Start." Though the series only ran for a year, it marked the beginning of her television career. The following year, she gained further recognition as detective Harriett Walker in the Channel Ten crime drama "White Collar Blue" (2002).
