Demetrius Shipp Jr., born on November 20, 1988, is an accomplished American actor best known for his portrayal of the iconic rapper Tupac Shakur in the 2017 biographical film *All Eyez on Me*. He also gained recognition for his role as Tyrone Moore, a gang leader, in the popular television series *All American*.

Shipp's journey into acting began unexpectedly. In 2011, a friend encouraged him to audition for the role of Tupac, capitalizing on Shipp's striking resemblance to the late hip-hop star. Despite initially having no intention of pursuing an acting career, he embraced the opportunity.
