Mayim Chaya Bialik (pronounced MY-im bee-AH-lik), born on December 12, 1975, is a multifaceted American figure known for her work as an actress, game show host, neuroscientist, and author. She gained fame for her portrayal of the titular character in NBC's sitcom *Blossom*, as well as the role of Amy Farrah Fowler, a neuroscientist on CBS's *The Big Bang Theory*. Additionally, she played young CC Bloom in the 1988 film *Beaches* and stars in the series *Call Me Kat*.

Bialik began her career as a child actress in the late 1980s, landing early roles in the horror film *Pumpkinhead* (1988) and making appearances on shows like *The Facts of Life* and *Beauty and the Beast*. She secured her Screen Actors Guild (SAG) card through these appearances and enjoyed a recurring role as Frieda on the sitcom *Webster*. Her performance in *Beaches* received praise, even amidst critiques of the film's emotional depth.

She was featured in Michael Jackson's "Liberian Girl" music video and had a pivotal role in Woody Allen's comedy *Don't Drink the Water* (1994). From 1995 to 2005, Bialik focused on voice acting in various animated series, including *Kim Possible* and *Hey Arnold!*.
