Eric Chase Anderson
Eric Chase Anderson is an accomplished American author, illustrator, and actor, born in Houston, Texas. He completed his secondary education at Stratford High School and is the sibling of renowned filmmaker Wes Anderson.
In 2005, Anderson made his debut in children’s literature with "Chuck Dugan Is AWOL: A Novel, With Maps," released by Chronicle Books. His artistic talents extend beyond books; his illustrations have featured in prominent publications such as Time magazine and The New York Observer, as well as in a promotional campaign for Virgin Mobile. Notably, he created all the maps, covers, and other visual elements for the Criterion Collection editions of classic films including "Rushmore," "The Royal Tenenbaums," "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou," and "The Darjeeling Limited."
Anderson played a pivotal role in the design of "The Royal Tenenbaums," crafting intricate maps of the Tenenbaum household to assist production designers, and he contributed drawings and paintings attributed to the character Richie Tenenbaum.
In addition to his artistic endeavors, Anderson shared his insights through an opinion piece in The New York Times in 2005, addressing the Randy "Duke" Cunningham scandal. His diverse talents and contributions to literature and film continue to be recognized and celebrated.
