Gregory Jbara

Gregory Jbara is a distinguished American actor known for his work across film, television, and theater. Born in Nankin Township, Michigan, Jbara comes from a diverse background with Lebanese and Irish roots. He completed his high school education at Wayne Memorial High School before pursuing a degree in Communication Studies at the University of Michigan, where he also engaged in Theatre and Musical Theatre. His passion for acting led him to the Juilliard School, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from 1986.

Jbara's family is also linked to the entertainment industry; his brother Mike has held notable positions as President of WEA Corp. and President of Alternative Distribution Alliance, while his brother Dan is known for producing reality shows. Jbara's talent has shone brightly on Broadway, especially for his role as "Jackie Elliot," affectionately known as "Dad," in the acclaimed musical *Billy Elliot*. His performance earned him the prestigious Tony Award, along with Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Featured Actor in a Musical during the 2008-2009 season.

In addition to his Broadway success, Jbara has made his mark on television, notably as Dan O'Keefe in *Grounded for Life* and as NYPD Deputy Commissioner Garrett Moore on CBS’s *Blue Bloods*.
