Tito Goya
Tito Goya, originally named Andrew Butler, was born on April 4, 1951, in Puerto Rico and became a notable figure in the film industry before his untimely death on December 1, 1985. Goya gained recognition for his compelling performance as "Cupcake" in the acclaimed 1977 film *Short Eyes*. His impressive filmography includes roles in significant works such as *Marathon Man* (1976), *Andy Warhol's Bad* (1977), *All That Jazz* (1979), *Going in Style* (1979), *Night of the Juggler* (1980), and *Fort Apache, The Bronx* (1981). He made his last appearance in the popular television series *Miami Vice* in 1984, portraying Carlos Mendez, a character involved with drug trafficking.
Raised in Brentwood, New York, Goya was the son of Carmen and had a blended family with his stepfather Mario and several siblings, including brothers Jacob, Hector, Charlie, Richard, and sister Milagros. In a tragic turn of events, Goya faced legal troubles after being arrested in 1984 for a murder that took place in Austin in 1978. He passed away from cirrhosis in 1985 while out on bond awaiting trial. His final resting place is on Long Island, New York, where he is remembered for his contributions to film and his complex life story.
