Under her new name, Cates starred in several films, including Frankie Starlight, Stiff Upper Lips, Illuminata, and Clay Pigeons. Cates made a notable return to acting in 2007 with the indie film Sinner, which received critical acclaim. She has since appeared in The Closer and the 2013 film Bad Grandpa. More recently, she has focused on her passion for photography.
